Cargo or Freight - The materials, supplies or goods that need to be transported.
Freight Holder - The Company owning the actual cargo. They contract with carriers or agents.
Carrier - The Company owning the transportation vehicles. They contract with agents and freight holders.
Forwarder, Agent, Broker - The middlemen connecting the freight holders and the carriers.
