Since the September 11th attacks, the world has tightened transportation safety and security standards to protect travelers and to secure the world's transit systems. The time travelers spend at check-in, screening and customs has dramatically increased due to these intense efforts, and also due to more hiring for essential transportation security jobs.

Where the Transportation Security and Safety Jobs Are

Roughly 5,000 airports are used globally by the general public and with millions of people traveling each year, safety and security continue to be a priority. Some of the transportation saferty and security jobs at airports include firefighters, inspectors, directors, air marshals, emergency paramedics and technicians, security officers, police and rescue workers to be ready in case of an emergency.

Transportation Safety and Security Jobs: Not Just Airports

While airports have recently been the most affected by a heightened safety and security transformation, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is on the frontline of defense for all other major transit systems. They also monitor other public transportation systems, buildings and major venues.
